As a private, non-profit organization, the Jefferson County Historical Society is supported financially through memberships, donations, and grants. We are not funded by either county or city government.
With your support, we can fulfill our mission to “promote understanding and public appreciation of Jefferson County’s historic legacy by providing diverse educational programs, high-quality museum interpretive displays, and local and family history research opportunities.”
Artifacts, documents, and other historic materials related to Jefferson County that are donated or acquired are maintained and recorded as part of JCHS’s permanent inventory, and are a crucial part of achieving this mission.
